the series is a few years old now. i must have seen that episode at least three times. i love the guy from birmingham who drunk cider from his false leg, or the old fella who used to take out his glass eye and drop it into his beer to avoid someone else drinking it when he went to the loo :D
Jim Dandy to the rescue.

We used to live beside the Bunch Of Grapes:

Its now called The Brox Bar. It had been called the Ibrox Bar but to their credit, Rangers took an injunction out against the place to stope them using the name and the Rangers lion rampant and "Ready" motifs that were on the boarded up windows. That said, they have now got an actual eye painted infront of the word Brox on the signage.

I used to think nothing of walking past it after a night on the gargle. But I never nipped in to ask if Sean was around, or if they were showing the Celtic game. That said, there were a lot of neds running in and out of it with bin liners full of knock off gear and you could probably have got a boss pair of reeboks in it for a 10 spot.

There was once a running battle between the regulars of this place and the King Dick which is just on the other side of the junction on the Castlereagh road. Glass and bodies everywhere. You have no idea how glad I am to be out of that place - the single review of it on this site seems to provide all the info you need to know:

Its called the King Richard but the locals refer to it as the King Dick, they still call the Eye-Brox bar "The Bunch" too.

I'd rather watch Britain's Hardest Crosswords.
