My song of the Day

My song of the Day

Postby JOHN S on Sat Jan 18, 2003 1:54 pm

Today I will mostly be listening to :
The Flaming Lips - The Spark That bled

Even though they did not play it last Wed, it really is one of my favourite Lips songs (with or without the fake blood) !

Everything means nothing to me; Elliott Smith. He has a new double album coming out soon.
Gaye Blade, I forgot to sign in again.

Has anyone heard of the Handsome Family. I just became emotionally dependent on their song, "So Much Wine". They could be considered alt-country if I was pressed to describe. The singers voice is amazingly beautiful.

The Handsome Family are cool. They'd need to be, myself and #10 DJ'd for 'em. They love Belfast - they've been 5 times in 3 years and they are very engaging people and hilarious on stage and off.

So Much Wine is a beauty but I still prefer Weightless Again. Tragicomedy at it's best.

"Dragging lumps of burning wood wherever they went
They all had forgotten how to light a fire..."

By the way, my song of the weekend was "Nobody Girl" by wee Ryan.
