Gerry's days clearly aren't quite as busy as those of Justin Hawkins:

"I got Bridge Club on Wednesday
Archery on Thursday
Dancing on a Friday night
Monday rowing
Tuesday badminton
I got ping pong on Wednesday
Needlework on Thursday
Dancing on a Friday night"

I guess JH fits in riff plagiarism on Sundays.

He also forgot to point out hes a cunt 7 fays of the week.
If he was from Venus, would he feed us with a spoon?
If he was from Mars, wouldn't that be cool?

while in the gym, i caught a bit of tt on espn. yikes, that shit gets intense. adding back spin to the serves, firing volleys and deadly-serious stares across the table. definitely a different animal than the "ping pong" that i used to pretend to play.

no sign of gerard though. then again, it's not tuesday.

Yes, tis a strange one, especially since I know folk who play fives up Maryhill wi Gerry regularly on a Tuesday - also included in the team line ups are members of B&S, Bis and MHS when said folk are available (a regular little Glasgow indie/fitba crossover)

Perhaps he's changed to a Sunday so's not to interfere wi his tea drinking.

tt on a tuesday obviously refers to the fact that tomtoms wife goes to bingo on a tuesday,
so gerry gets the job of looking after him until she gets home.
i thought it was 'takes tea'
Jim Dandy to the rescue.

He's got good strong wrists has Stephen P... but he and Gerry aren't playing table tennis on a Tuesday....If they're doing anything together on a Tuesday it's TAKING TEA.....

After listening to the interview with Norman and Gerry on Soho Radio with Pete Paphides where they mention table tennis and Mr Pastel, I'm going to concede that it is TT. I think the guest knows a thing or two.

There's a good chance that I'll be dropping off the board for a while, pretty soon, as my wife will be giving birth to our second child......

Now I don't want to be in that delivery room wondering what the correct lyric is... I want to concetrate on helping her get through the fucking pain barrier...

(I'm making up her labour soundtrack now and a couple of Man-Made songs will feature)

... so you can sympathise.... this needs to be sorted out soon...today if possible.....

I've been listening to it pretty damn closely and I'm pretty godam sure its TAKE TEA on a Tuesday..... @ 1:09 there's a definite syllable after the T and its not 'ee', there is definitely a 'K' in there.

I'm not usually this anal, I just don't like being wrong (although I get plenty of practise! )

"I agree with "Take tea".
S'what I sing in the car, anyway.
"What's this?"
"What's what?"
"No. Who's who. But you were close"

Wow, some old names on this thread. Many gone off quietly into the night or McKnight even.

Anyway, Gerry, as we know, is a long-time vegetarian and animal rights activist.
Little known fact: he often volunteered at the now-shuttered Glasgow Zoo in Baillieston, frequently in the primate area where he helped to feed the South American TiTi monkeys on, you guessed it, Tuesdays.

Treat him to a few lagers if you see him after a gig. They'll loosen him up enough for the whole tale to be told.
It's all about the banter.

Slightly freaked or just mildly twitchy?

I always thought it was 'Take tea'. I'm imagining a posh afternoon tea, with little cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, scones with cream and jam, cute little cakes, petit fours on a bone china double stacked cake stand and 12 different types of tea. Otherwise it would be weird to only have a cup of tea on a Tuesday. One cup of tea a week is a bit strange. A decadent afternoon tea once a week sounds more civilised.
I LOVE my TFC umbrella! :-)
