Well I enjoyed do my first ever poll type survey on the board (Peter Sellers movies) that I thought I'm gonna start a NEW one.
So what is your favourite KRAFTWERK album???
GOOD NEWS they are gonna reissue them all remastered v. soon (sadly not including Ralf & Florian, which is a real beauty).

I'd say Man Machine, closely followed by Computer World. The earlier stuff is obviously fundamental, but more for special occasions than daily use.

I have a soft spot for the Mix album too, which a lot of people don't rate very highly.

Okay I should add them. I certainly like them both more than Electric Cafe and The Mix. Sorry about that.
It won't allow that many options so I had to put them as a joint option. But if a particular one is your fave please select this choice and write a short post about your choice.

it's ok. when i saw tfd was on, i thought it was a pedantic thread. there's also the organisation album, tone float. maybe that shouldn't count. i think i'd vote for ralf and florian, anyway.

My reputation goes before me! :D

I agree about Electric Cafe - my least-favourite by miles. Want to start another poll?

My faves are:
1. Computer World
2. Radioactivity
3. Autobahn
4. Ralf und Florian
but there is something I love on all of them. I was just listening to The Telephone Call from Electric Cafe and that is a lovely track.

For a year or two Autobahn on vinyl with the motorway sign sleeve was the only one I had, and it was one of my favourite albums. The Man Machine really blew me away when it came out (the next one I bought) and when Computer World was released that became my fave. I saw Kraftwerk around this time, 1981, Edinburgh Playhouse.

In time I have found that Radioactivity and Trans Europa Express are the ones I return to most. So I voted for Trans Europa Express, although I pretty much love everything of theirs. Not too familiar with Kraftwerk 1/2 which are pretty hard to get.

If I had a log in I would vote for Radioactivity. It is their "Annie Hall" where their past meets where they were about to go and it has unique beauty because of that. It was tragically misunderstood when released and remains unjustifiably overlooked.
Can't wait until tomorrow and I bet Radioactivity, the track, will be a highlight.

i voted for the man machine, cos that's the first one i grew to know and it's great. I do love trans europe express though - I'm listening to the start of europe endless as I type, how cool a tune is that to start an album with?

the new album is cracking though!

I'd have to say "The Best of Kraftwerk".
