will never, ever, forget the way he played against Belgium in Brussels when we lost 2-0. He was disgusting. Should never have had another chance. Arsehole.

Can't really think about any other football at the minute as I'm still beaming over Man City's emphatic victory against The Corporate Machine on Sunday.

Wasn't Burley player of the year in one of his seasons at Celtic?

burley was immense the year celtic won the league and stopped the orks from reaching the magic 10-in-a-row. 8)

then he scored a great goal in the world cup. :o

then he dyed his hair gold. :x

then he disappeared. :(

Craig Burley was decent enough at Chelsea although many will remember him only for his Cup Semi Final "back pass" against the Mancs at Villa Park. In the '97 Cup Semi Final against Wimbledon he played a stormer, and Gullit treated him shoddily dropping him for the Final (not even on the bench, while Andy Myers was).

He's well past his best but 8 or 9 years ago he was a pretty good player.
