I am going to see The Pernice Brothers on 14th August at The London Borderline.

I have been waiting 2 years since seeing them to see Sleater-Kinney again, they're coming soon!

Guess what they're playing London ...yep youi guessed it, the 14th August

What to do?

I don't suppose one is an opening act and another a headliner so you could time it for both? Or maybe one is playing in a town near by a day before/after? We once did the double brian night (brian wilson/brian setzer) and the gigs were about 30 miles apart, so it can be done.

No such luck Sonia, both headlining and the same night only!

However they are only playing about 100 yard s apart at most, PB @ The Borderline and SK at the Mean Fiddler!

Could ideally do with one cancelling, as I'd really like to see both bands!

Before anyone picks me up on it, Sleater-Kinney are playing the 13th as well...but I'm away on business that day with no chance of making their gig!

Am leaning towards SK (after all they are eye candy as well as rocking) but it's a hard decision!

I'll take your PB tickets if you're stuck getting rid of them.

Thanks Tom,

That's the bit I've also found out, the problem is the ticket distributor?

give 'em a ring and ask if the sell at the venue, if they dont they will know where you can get tickets, you may have to ring directory enquiries for the nimber, check out the tv adverts on that. now would you like me to thamselink down there and get you them for you

Did anyone see the Pernice Brothers on their last tour? I saw them at King Tuts, it was the Sunday after 9/11 and they were in no mood for showbiz niceties.
Interested if anyone saw any of those post 9/11 gigs

yes i saw them at ULU, i recall one of them wearing a I LOVE NY t-shirt and they were clearly affected by the event and mentioned it but the crap sound had more of an affect on the gig at least superfecialy.

Gazz - yep, I'll still take the ticket as I'll be working in London that week.
