Well, work out I guess, the length of time the Beatles Recorded, split that in half and divide into 2 category's late & early..

I guessed anything sort of after 66 would be late, but my Beatles knowledge isn't up to par with some of the other boarders here.

Someone do a periodic list for fucks sakes.

Rubber Soul ain't early but, I know that. Help was 1965 and Revolver was next. That would be the mid period for me. Or is Help still early. I don't know - I get a bit muddled.

I know I like all of them, if that's any help?

Did you know Let It Be was finished before Abbey Road.. so Abbey Road is concidered to be their last album especially with the medley at the end.. they really were saying goodbye :D

i like the pete best/stu /tony sheridan era the best , i think once ringo joined and they returned to liverpool they lost their edge. i believe if williams had stayed as manager he would have led them down a different more interesting path then epstein.
the beatles just seemed to jump on whatever bandwagon that came along be c&w,early rnb or pyschedelia even heavy metal. they have also left us with am awful legacy of geetar bands from the byrds to oasis. the north of england had a fine tradition of brass bands but not anymore. the beatles were not overrated but the negative dammning influence they have left on music and culture in general is underrated.

There you go. Three fours. (As opposed to "6 and two threes", Ron).

Middle to win, containing, as it does 3 of my favourite 4.

By the way. Liverpool v Some Bundesliga team is on live telly tomorrow night. 7.05pm. Canall funf.

*Yellow Submarine doesn't really count as most of the music is incidental music scored by George Martin and the Beatles thought if they put all the tunes from the film onto it they'd only be repeating what was on Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour. It just has six Beatles tunes on it.

Magical Mystery Tour was an EP.

My sister bought it the day it came out, double gatefold EP with lyrics / storybook if I remember correctly. Where the fuck is it now? Wish I knew.
