They wrote some classics. I'm a fan.
If this were the Seine, we'd be very suave;

Trying to work out a way to vote for both Love 'em and Ray's a genius 'cos both are true... The most perfect songwriter, raw and angry but so mannered and vulnerable. Days, Waterloo Sunset, Shangri-La, Big Sky, they're just so perfectly finished. Yep, love 'em.

Top band. The best band my dad ever listened to. Most of the others were rubbish.

I whistled Waterloo Sunset as Siobhan and I were going through the underpass to Waterloo Station on the way home last night. Fact.

Ekshellent :D It's one of those songs that remains fresh, despite of decades of over exposure. Class.

Wonderful band. Both musically and lyrically, Ray Davies is one of the all-time greats.

Between 1966 and 1969 they released a quartet of superb albums - Face To Face, Something Else, Village Green and Arthur.

Oh hell, c'mon, The Kinks easily one of the greatest of all time. It's a shame that they don't get the props like The Stones. Now, don't get me wrong, The Stones were great, but The Kinks put out three straight records (Something Else, Village Green, and Arthur) that are nearly flawless front-to-back. Great music and lyrics!
