remy mcswain wrote:Well this one was a bit different. A massive queue to get in, then a mild panic as to whether we were actually going to get in before securing a decent view of the stage TFC were to play on and handy for the bar. First band up were Lewis and Lee who were fairly talented but a tad bland for my ears. They went down well but no-one was there to see them. TFC came on about 8:30 and played a set mainly based around Here. It was fairly obvious early on that a very garrulous Norman was half pished  and had been over imbibing in the green room. Cue lots of swearing, tuning (no Guitar George to bail him out here) and fluffed intros. The editor will be very busy to get this sorted for broadcast tonight.

Good to see Macca rocking out gently in his chair and Rosario at front of the dad pit.

Just like the old days - endearingly shambolic. I loved it.

i think people were being very polite towards Lewis & Lee. The biggest silence of the night though was when they totally misjudged the Glasgow audience, and asked if we wanted to hear a cover of a song by another Glasgow band.....Deacon Blue!

Cue tumbleweed.....

Listened to the show tonight. Planets didn't make the final cut.

Editor did a great job

Had a pint before the show. A single pint. Sipping wine throughout. Took the edge off for sure but, far from pished old chap. You must have been drunk  Planets sounded great. Not a duff note to be heard. That's future TV gold for you right there 8) Peace and love, peace and love.

I admit it, a pint of wine. However, it came in a box................which makes all the difference.

And they still had time to play a Martha Reeves track in the middle and The Beat at the end!

Its awesome. My kids were loving being able to see one of dad's gigs. Knew the names of all the guys too, 'cept Dave.
