Norman's allusions

I love how Norman will grab things from various places and make them his own. Even if not aware he's doing it.

Live in the Moment:
Intro = Sultans of Swing

Lyrics: "You're so sweet, you're so fine"
Jeepster - T. Rex

Maybe it's the harmony at the end of the chorus that makes me think of this one, but when he sings TODAAAAAY
It reminds me of an amalgamation of the Beatles "The Things We Said Today" and the Grass Roots "Live for Today"

Connected to Life
Speaking of the Beatles (well, a song they covered), how about the very end of "Connected to Life"
Disappear into Shadows...
"A Taste of Honey"

As always, his tastes are impeccable. :D

Curious what allusions you've heard on the new album.

No allusions for me as yet.. though IMO 'Connected to Life' has a New Mendicants feel to it; blasé lyrics and possibly the subject matter depending on which way you interpret the song of course..
