Vinyl record cleaning

I've read up a lot on this and still don't know the best way to clean them. How does everyone else clean them?

I use Methylated Spirits (denatured alcohol) and kitchen roll. Nothing fancy.

We use Clear Groove fluid and a lint free cloth. Makes such a difference to the sound on dusty/grimy records.

At one point we were thinking of getting a record cleaner, as we'd bought so many records from fairs that were filthy, grooves full of dirt and grease. Clear Groove got these clean, but took hours and tonnes of elbow grease and a record cleaning machine could get through them much quicker. Then we saw the price of some of these machines and decided to stick with the manual method! Ha!

A thin smear of wood glue left to dry and then peeled off. Copydex those little imperfections away, folks.

I've seen people do that, and yes it works, but I've always been far too scared to try it myself. It looks like such a drastic thing to do!
