Whats your favourite live album?

Whats your favourite live album?

Postby Rosario FC on Tue Mar 17, 2015 12:36 am

I cant decide whether my favourite live album is Van Morrison's Its Too Late To stop Now, or James Brown's Live At The Apollo, both are incredible.
I heard them both for the first time around 1981/82 and have been companions ever since.

In my Beatles-obsessed early youth, I loved Wings Over America, though I grew to hate pompous Rock Show albums, probably due to over exposure to that one and a few others.

Today, I prefer this:

It's terrible, it's great, full of half-assed covers, etc. Audience recording released briefly by record label. Basically a bootleg. The antithesis of Wings Over America.
Ain't lost yet, so I gotta be a winner
