That's a great first post. Wish I could be there. Good luck with this! Hope the film will make it to Norway later.

The film is really wonderful. It's one of the best music documentaries I've ever seen.

I couldn't agree more. It is such a great behind-the scenes look at the talented LA musicians who played on so many popular records. My favourite segment is when Carole Kaye is talking about her background-- what it was like to work as a sessions bass-player in such a male-dominated field and how she did it as a single mum. She is just so extraordinary and a great talent. But there's so much more to this film...an absolute must-see for anyone who loves pop music.

Hope people don't mind me posting this here, but for those 'down sauf' like myself disappointed to not be able to make it 'up north' for what sounds like the promise of a great night laid on in addition to the film screening, there is a London screening July 13th @ Bethnal Green Working Mans Club.. http://www.tickettailor.com/checkout/view-event/id/4775/chk/a939

Have a great time everyone tomorrow night, you're in for a treat. Me and Devotchik loved it last Friday.

I'm very jealous about you guys getting to see/hear Gerry DJing! :-)
I LOVE my TFC umbrella! :-)

Really enjoyed seeing it again. It's one of the best music documentaries I can think of.

Francis did a fine job running the Q & A session. Gerry was playing lots of very fine tunes afterwards.

The movie finally made it to Phoenix. Great stuff. We tried to get a friend to come along but couldn't quite convince her with "it's about the musicians behind pretty much every one of your favorite songs from childhood." It just sounded too unbelievable!

It's currently the number 1 movie on iTunes USA. No UK release date as yet. Booo.
