YMMV, of course. Bring on the flames yo.

Isn't the slide part stolen from a Chris Bell song?

And there's even more of those Cabbage slide guitars in the US-promo version of the CD! :o I guess the promo CD used an earlier mix than the finished one...seems they cut out some of the slides for the final version.

eek! wish i'd never said i knew so hastily! it's going to be a bit of anti climax if/when i do! :o

i'll leave it with you for a while and see if any of you can guess.

clue: you're not getting a clue (this is not an actual clue)(no clues were harmed in the making of this non-clue)

reminder: that's not actually a clue above.

Personally, I'm glad the one I suggested isn't it, because I always thought of you as a nice polite bunch, even if you might use the occasional sweary word (who doesn't). C'mon then... tell it! :)

I remember when they played this song on the 13 tour and norman would wear that amazing hat and coat fashioned from cabbage leaves when they played it. it was very genesis. I think I remember one time norman introduced it and said, 'this next song is in the key of vegetable'. he then turned his back to the crowd, put on the cabbage outfit, returned to the mic and growled... 'and so bleedin' wot if its called the cabbage'! the band then performed a blistering version of it. It was that good it made me vandalise my seat. and if I rememeber right, I wrote 'the cabbage' on a bus stop on the way home. 8)
