Can't find any info on this group, other than that Raymond and Ross R. Sinclair was supposed to be in it. Did it exist and record anything?

And here's my only source for this (couldn't find it yesterday):

Thinking pop-pickers will perhaps notice a bit of a puzzle in the installation's title, fanclub, and in the typeface, Helvetica medium, in which Sinclair has chosen to present it.

On one level, the typeface is ''arguably the world's most popular one, the lowest common denominator of typefaces: totally straight, sans serif, juvenile, unsophisticated.'' On another level, the word itself is a visual echo of Teenage Fanclub, one of Bellshill's finest crew of beatsters and currently Scotland's most talked-about band.

This is neither accidental nor untoward, given that until a year ago Sinclair was the drummer with another prominent Bellshill combo, the Soup Dragons, having previously been in another band, Gods For All Occasions, with Teenage Fanclubber Raymond McGinley.

''Raymond had given me a Teenage Fanclub T-shirt ages before the LP came out and, without being too specific, the word got the feeling I wanted for the installation . . .''

Ah. Gotcha. Fanclub: synonym for male hegemony, male clubbishness; the literal exclusivity of male relationships; unhelpful mutual worship.

''Oh, aye. Very likely. But the word left things open, too.''

terje - apologies, o new news, but ross sinclair is responsible more than any other man for making me regretful about being a slaphead. fucking funky haired artist that he is.

anyway, as i've said before, the soup dragons are responsible more than any other band for me typing this here right now, because back in 1988 i saw this on telly after tea time... complete with ross and hair.

and any more info about 'gods for all occasions' would be great.
