Thanks Jim... I never did figure out how to post video. Unfortunately using a smaller format meant sacrificing alot in the way of film quality.. I'm disappointed. It was so good on the night... Really loved the penetrating bass line and both Raymond and Norman (and David)were burning it up on guitar....can't really tell from these vids tho :(

In alot of the photos (there are more) Gerry's and Norman's fingers are blurred... that should give you an indication of how fast they were playing....superfantastic!

I think poor Andy spoke with out thinking, I i didnt see his post (only his apology) so can only imagine, at lest he showed some regret and remorse ober what he himself felt was a tastless comment, O for one thinks that goes a long way. then again I didnt see the post.

I made a comment about how rubbish the gig was without even seeing or listening to the gig. I was just messing about waiting to see what guests response would be. Pretty stupid I know. I had no idea about the circumstances surrounding the gig and was mortified when I was told. I would never intentionally set out to upset anyone, especially someone that has shown such courage.

I am deeply sorry about what I posted and regret it completely.

I think it's fair enough you apologising. It's a cool thing to do.
It's probably best not to start winding up people anyway, regardless of the situation, because this place can get really unpleasant.
Usually it's cool. You get good album tips from Big Bazza and gerryboy and other folk, you get daft nonsense from your TomTom and Brendan, and it's all good fun. Then it gets really fucking unpleasant with Keith and Morton and some vitriolic guests.
I think you're an okay guy, Andy, how about you play fair from now on and I'll try to do the same?

Whether the gig was great are crap was not dependant on the cause surely :?

It looks like it was rather spiffing from where i'm sat.

As guest has said I dont think you could put Andy in the same league as Mortin ir Keith.

It would seem that Norman deleted/edited the offending post on request, I'm sure he would have considered a similar request had I made one with regard Mortons offfensive post with regard and my weight loss and being in a coma, but I that would have doen Morton a favour, as it is it stands as a measure of the bloke for all to see.

Now what the feck happened at the Lane today ? :?

Noticed Gerry's bass from the show is similar to the one in the photo on the Orange Juice Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_Juice

Edwyn did remark during the gig on the fact that Gerry was playing a Mustang bass.
Gerry must have been having a great time playing all those soul and funk basslines.
