WOW!

That was a fantastic night.

After a couple of support acts, who were not to my taste, Saya appears in the crowd, walking barefoot, exorcising the venue by dancing and knocking sticks together. From then on I was hypnotised.

I've never seen Tenniscoats before but I heard a few folks say it was their best gig and I can believe that.

There is something very uncynical and spiritual about their music and performance that had me, and others around me, smiling from ear to ear.

Saya is very childlike and obviously delights in her role. At one point she used the stage as a drum kit, jumping up and down in rhythm to the music. And it seemed like the most natural thing.

If you're reading this and wondering what the hell I'm talking about, I'm sorry, but the feelings I experienced tonight when watching and listening to Tenniscoats perform are very difficult to describe, but very, very positive. I would urge you to have a listen and go and see them if you can.

Well said, Jim. Tenniscoats were truly wondrous! It was genuinely moving to see something so pure and playful. I've seen Tenniscoats a few times and that was their best yet! It's possible, though, that that's because I'm still reeling from the sheer beauty of tonight's show but I don't think so. I think tonight was something rare and special. I've also seen Richard Youngs a few times and that was my favourite performance by him and theapplesofenergy's heavily pedalled electric mandolin sounded lovely, too. What a night!

it was an absolutely magical night. Tenniscoats reached another level tonight. Every time I see them I get mesmerised and each time is better than the time before. Yet they seem completely unaware of it and so surprised at the reaction they get. Their love of music and love of each other just radiates off the stage and leaves everybody feeling really good.
Smiles everywhere.
Great music and great company.
A great night.

That was a great show last night. The Tenniscoats were simply beautiful. I thought Richard Youngs was pretty good too. It takes some cajones to sing unaccompanied.

Good to meet y'all too.

Heh heh, I timed the haircut right this time round, summertime. The last time, about four years ago, I had it cut in November and spent the winter with cauld lugs.

Nice to see the family out in force, Bazza, sorry there wasn't more time to chat.

Tenniscoats are one of my very favourite bands... like others have said, last night was best I've ever seen them:
they seemed really relaxed, sounded amazing. And a total treat to hear "Theme of the Tenniscoats" live.

Oh and Richard Youngs = TOTALLY AMAZING 8)

They truly were brilliant - smiles all round.
I really liked Saya's t-shirt too.
