I like summer.
If this were the Seine, we'd be very suave;
But it's just the rain, washing down the boulevard.

I love the sun. Makes me happy. In the winter I'm a miserable git.

Bill Hicks does a good rant on one of his CDs about hating hot weather and the beach. If I ever get it back I'll tell you which CD it is.

Can you imagine Sparky's Dream without the "Summer Feelin'" line?

Bill Hicks was from Houston where most of the year it's unbearably hot and sticky. Mind you, I loved the weather in Houston - well, as long as I was sitting by the pool, or in an air-conditioned building.

I used to love the winter more but since about 5 years ago I'm with the Webb Brothers.

I like the long nights, I like the dryness in my back yard. I have even started wearing bright colours but I'm not mad keen on excessive heat.

I always try to keep the feeling alive, though, all year round. Gerry told me to.

"Winter's over again, Summer people".
"What's this?"
"What's what?"
"No. Who's who. But you were close"

Summer = hayfever, prickly heat, fat people showing too much unsightly pasty flesh, sandals and salads, not to mention the fact that the hot weather does funny things to me.

Winter = snow, Christmas, hot chocolate, comfy jumpers and starry nights.

The Divine Comedy's Pop Singer's Fear of The Pollen Count is a smashing tune on the love/hate relationship with the warmest of seasons.

Maui - move to Scotland where it pretty much pishes rain all summer.

Nah, Houston = "warm and humid". Scotland = "cold and wet" (except for 2 or 3 days usually, hopefully one of the good days this year'll be 22 June).
