It's a bit late now though.

Have a boiled egg and some toast :-)

I'm a great believer in a healthy supper creating better quality dreams.

Sometimes, when my brother comes to stay, we drink lots of red wine and eat strong cheese before bed - to try to induce horrid nightmares

Robbie Williams was in my dream last night. First time in ages that he's turned up. Usually, the dreams with him in are a little saucy  but last night we just had a cup of tea.

How bizarre ... and slightly disappointing.

Today I'm going through 2 big boxes of music magazines my mum brought up a couple of weeks ago. Alas not my treasured NME or Melody Makers, she's now told me that she probably through them out years ago, not knowing what they were. What she kept safe for me, thinking these were what I wanted to keep, were old No1s and Smash Hits magazines, I used to get them in my early teens from 11 onwards. I have no idea why I kept them. Trashy and full of crappy filler pieces, they took about 5 mins to read and I wish I'd chucked them away years ago. I hate them for getting my Mum confused between these and the magazines I thought she'd kept safe for me. But now they're here I still don't feel like I can chuck them away, even though I don't want them anymore. Feels like I've opened a bit of a time capsule, a window onto a time, and bands and songs, I'd completely forgotten about. Some mags are as early as 84 or 85.

went to Lakenheath Fen with Mrs Lasermonkey, We saw some marsh harriers, a kingfisher sitting on a branch for about 10 minutes and best of all, three young barn owls sitting in an opening in a barn (of all places!) whilst their mother was out hunting for food. It came back later with some prey, which one of them devoured.

Just got back to Ireland from a few days in and around Manchester and Stoke. Its was ace apart from the M6 which is seventh circle of hell.

Bury market was cracking and I like the newly developed area but even better was Katsouris Deli. Who knew?

I'll be back over at another wedding a few weeks. Try and get that traffic sorted out before I get back. I'll be in somewhere they call "Surrey".

Today (yesterday really - Tuesday) I played a 1980 Lee Dorsey compilation called "Gohn Be Funky" on Charley. I love vinyl. I love my new record deck. Ioved that reckid label. Back then Lee was a forgotten master. Joe Strummer wrote the sleevenotes. Back then, I played that album constantly for about 2 years. It's just had it's first play in 28 years. Did I say I love my new record deck?
I hope Monorail still has some copies of the Shadows vinyl left ...
