I'm a fan. He also produced the Beck album on "K" which I think is Beck's best.

Well disc six is rarer stuff inc. the excellent Polly pereguin with Screaming Trees. There is a 7th bonus disk with some videos, live recordings from a tour they did with Vaselines, etc. The booklet is thick and good stuff.

:shock: :shock: i need that ... need to find it first tho and for a price that I can pay as well :(


Btw, Duglas... was listening to Theme Park at cduniverse... 'This Lonely Guy'... lovely song

I don't want to give the wrong impression coz the person who really turned us on to Beat Happening was stephen Pastel. He released their first UK records and I can't remember but was also involved in bringing them over to Britain. Stephen's 53rd & 3rd records was short lived but seminal. Beat Happening, Joe's Groovy Little Numbers, the Vaselines, BMX Bandits, the Shop Assistants and pre-Fanclub outfit the Boy Hairdressers were all part of the rosta...a lot to be thankful for. Remember the Pastels will be playing near the end of the month 3 Scottish shows in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow. Norman and I are DJing in Glasgow.

Oh well... the guy who turned me on to beat happening was a bloke who presented an indie programme for mtv brazil, but that doesn't matter...

Remember the Pastels will be playing near the end of the month 3 Scottish shows in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow. Norman and I are DJing in Glasgow
