In many forums, ranks indicate individuals' level of expertise on the subject matter or a role they perform within the forum. In an unmoderated free-for-all such as this, what would the number of posts tell you about someone? Maybe that the people with the greatest number of posts spend more time online than those with fewer posts, but I think that's about it. Do fewer posts make one less of a fan? Of course not. Do more posts make one an undisputed expert on this or any other band? No. This isn't the kind of board that would really benefit from those kind of categorizations.

I think it's fine around here, as it stands, but there might be some fun in it, if it were implemented strictly for humor. Maybe the image for the "most posts" rank could be one of bugged out eyeballs.... from staring at the screen too much, of course.
