wha happened last night! been reading posts and cant figure anything happened unless its on a subliminal level and is passing me by. Dont seem so quiet either. 10.30 and more posts than usual hmmmmm. I think people complaining bout guests are just trying to create an atmosphere. Us and them type thing. Cleakist cleaksters unable to cleak controll to their full cleakabilties. Grow up.

No spoons needed :D I'm not out to stir up any trouble..

I'm not part of any clique, so I'm happy to air my views which way :D

I voted for keeping the wee buggers, sometimes order comes from chaos :D

I'm not out to win any popularity contests by doing this, so vote away.. :D

i dont have a problem with guest postings in prinipal, but sometimes having and I.D. puts a posting in a context that can otherwise be miscontstrued.
this can also be taken advantage of at the end of the day the "guest" posters are the ones who run the risk of being misunderstood "AAAH"
if this gives them a problem all they have to do is registar.
from my end its sometimes frustrating not to know if i'm talking to the same or different people sometimes.

Neutral.

An example of why I don't care for guest posts: Guest recommends a record I'm on the fence about. I know nothing of what Guest may have recommended in the past. No benchmark of Guest's taste with which to compare the new recommendation. So, I really don't pay any attention to Guest's contributions, whatever they may be.

And it does seem to encourage more of this boring in-fighting.

I've been one of the guests for a long time and feel no need to registar. It's a big brother thing. We're all anonymous anyways but I do see toms point. If you look at who's on board at any given time there can be 4 registered and 8 guests and 2 hidden(still haven't worked out what that one is). The only reason to be against guests is to know if you're talking to the same guest or a different one. Still it shouldn't matter if it's on a subject that's interesting to both parties.

Here's one for you. My real name is Thomas Thompson so I could have chosen tomtom as my bord name if some big gulloot (only joking) hadn't beaten me to it.

Thomas Thompson here again. The other benefit of being a guest is I can say what I want and it'll always get blamed on someone else.

I see what you mean Tomtom :D Some guests are nice, some are 'orrible. I usually only respond to the nice guest posts and ignore the 'orrible ones, but I'm still cautious even with replying to a named boarder.
