Given that the film is all about DUM DUM DUM DAH DAH, I'll got for Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.
The best way to waste time is to fill it. If you can read this, congratulations on your Légion d'Honneur.Image

Just saw End of the Century a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great. I also liked Westway to the World, about the Clash, a lot. For fictional tales, the only possible choice has gotta be This is Spinal Tap.

True Stories by David Byrne is a classic movie with a brilliant Talking Heads soundtrack.
School of Rock despite being aimed at weiners has got some great Jack Black moments too.

Does Bill n' Ted count? :D

You've left a special message behind.

Spinal Tap
Almost Famous
High Fidelity
Quadrophenia (must count surely- ultimate rock n roll film)
24 Hr Party People
The Commitments
The Doors (cheesy in parts (stamping on turkeys etc.)but pretty good on the whole)
The Rutles - All You Need Is cash
Bad News - ace although not strictly a film
Pink Floyd- The Wall
Your obsession gets you known throughout the school for being strange, making lifesize models of The Velvet Underground in clay.

I saw a great doco about Dead Moon, a band which I new nothing about at the time. They then played a gig afterwards, cracking.
I know I'm not usually a praying man, but if you're up there, please Superman, help me!

anyone seen a half fictional movie about the clash's roadie who's always drunk?
it's called "RUDE BOY" and i really dig it, it's hilarious and shows some very intresting rehearsal/recording/backstage/live material of the clash from give 'em enuff rope era.
mick jones is being such a rock'n'roll diva, i wonder if that's what he was in '78 or is he acting.
"get off my fucking stage!"

there's a legendary scene where joe strummer is washing his brigade rosse t-shirt in some hotel and then the roadie comes to his room and asks about the meaning of brigade rosse.
"it's a name of a pizza restaurant" replies strummer.
