Game thread...

Postby tomfoolery's dad on Tue Oct 12, 2004 2:34 pm

Not had a good games thread in a while.

Anyway, I got Burnout 3 a few weeks ago. I didn't instantly take to its new "ram everything in sight" ethos, but have since grown to love it like one of my own! It has more onemorego-ability than anything I've played in yonks. The driving sensation is the best I can remember, especially the near-helplessness of boosting into on-coming traffic.

I'll just need to finish it before San Andreas comes out...

Is TROG in the OSW?

Here's my favourite no-batteries-required game...

Pokemon Fire Red's no bad but is really just a jazzed up remake of Pokemon Red. Nearly finished it.

I finally got WarioWare a few weeks ago. Still got a few of the wee games to play, they just never turn up! I always seem to get the crappy needle and thread one. Grrr...

I don't see how an 11-a-side game will hang together. I can imagine everyone, including the keepers, chasing after the ball just like back at school. Could be quite a laugh to watch!

Also read a rumour today that the new GTA could feature multi-player. Now that would be cool!

I read that too... could be fun, but on PS2 Hardware would be a heck of an acheivment, perhaps one could drive while one did the drive bys..

As for Pro Evo, i'm sure they'll be limitations and don't suspect 22 players at the same time, maybe a few at a time.

Star Wars Battleground is VERY impressive if a bit easy. Finished it in a week!
Very playable and a must if your a fan like me.

:D

Anyone played any of the new war games that claim to be better than Medal of Honour? I find it hard to believe that game could be topped.
