Delgados at ra Barras

Anyone else going tonight? Can't wait myself, I'm really looking forward to seeing Sons & Daughters for the first time too.

I notice the other support act is Mother And The Addicts. I saw them at Sleazies a while back supporting Preston SOI and didn't really rate them then, so I'm in no hurry to get along too early!

I am. It's been a while since the last Delgados gig in Glasgow so I'm looking forward to it :)

I saw them on Tuesday in Manchester they were great. :D Loads off the new album including Everybody Come Down which is one of my favourite singles of the year. Has anyone else noticed that Is This All That I Came For sounds just like Teenage Fanclub? Loads of old favourites too like All You Need Is Hate, Pull The Wires From The Wall etc. Some amusing banter from the stage with the keyboard player getting ripped for taking a viagra tablet and having a permenant stiffy for the next 24 hours. They played for about an hour and a quarter in total. Sons and Daughters were interesting but lacked a killer tune or two for me on first hearing.
Your obsession gets you known throughout the school for being strange, making lifesize models of The Velvet Underground in clay.

Cannae make it tonight...shame tho' cause the Delgados are a fave band. I last saw them at Barrowlands and they were terrific. Saw Sons and Daughters at T in the park and they too, are tipped fer fabness.

Makes you proud of homespun talent they do.

PS River Detectives are playing a small gig at the Riverside Club, Glasgow tomorrow night (a charity gig - £5 at the door) if anyone here remembers the boys of course.

The rumour mill reckons the boys are back and that there might even be a new album in the pipeline! Here's hoping!

Top gig! Delgados were magic. I reckon on first listen that S&D might have a "difficult second album", but hey it could be a grower.
