i've had an offer of a lift down there and shared camping facilities, can't say i'm that keen to go really. and it's incredibly shite they way they won't officially announce who's playing till they've sold out.

Mozza would interest, but that's it.

Sounds like one of those crappy "star-strung" Euro efforts attended by Prince Albert of Monaco, ubermodels and a load of toffs wearing suits.

Bring back Roy Harper!

At mate is going to the 'V' festival but refusing to camp - he has booked a B&B a few miles away from the site - not really getting into the spirit of things is it?

i've had some of the best times of my life at V, i won't hear a word against it. good friendly atmosphere, and more good bands than leeds-reading, as long as you avoid furtado / cullum / melua / whoever.

I went on my own twice, and busked my way around the campsite earning large quantities of other people's ale / weed / womenfolk along the way. last year, when i finally got some of my mates to come along, we were wandering round the market when a bunch of people came up and asked me if i was the bloke with the yellow guitar that had been there last year. cue my mates' disbelief that i had a fan club

I'm hopefully stewarding at Glasto again for Oxfam this year. It's still a big hippyfest. As a result it has a really friendly atmosphere.

Unlike a certain festival in Scotland, you don't get the feeling you're going to get stabbed :D

Would love to go to Glasto this year but can't really afford to buy the tickets next week. And they'll probably sell out fairly quickly I suppose. Still pissed off about missing last years REM/Radiohead festival - the headliners last time I went were appalling (Rod Stewart / Coldplay / Stereophonics).

In a Q interview, Michael Eavis has more or less admitted this year's headliners will be Coldplay (again!), Oasis and Macca.

I'm thinking of going to the V for a change but only on the Saturday for the Strokes and Pixies.
